Vice President
Dave Presson is a proven senior technology professional with deep expertise ranging from comprehensive sales, business development, procurement, and technology strategy to software development, information technology operations, consulting and professional services. With a span of more than 30 years, his career has included technology startups and leading world-class technology companies with extensive experience serving public sector customers at the federal, state, and local government levels.
Prior to joining Two Capitols Consulting, Dave led the U.S. public sector professional services sales organization for intelligent data infrastructure leader, NetApp, Inc., identifying key business opportunities and developing strategies to drive growth through comprehensive solutions to complex customer challenges for federal (defense, civilian, and intelligence), state, and local government customers.
Dave was previously Federal Services Director for Dell Technologies, where he was responsible for the full end-to-end portfolio of technology services, including customer relationships and engagements, strategy, growth, service delivery, and profitability for Dell’s U.S. federal government civilian, defense, and intelligence customers, both inside and outside the continental United States.
Dave is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia where he earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a minor in government. A native of Richmond, he lives in Arlington County where he has served on the Arlington Public Schools Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on Technology and the Arlington County Joint Working Group on County and School Technology Issues.
Away from the office, Dave is a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician with the Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. With more than 30 years as a first responder, he has served as fire chief, vice president, and on the department’s non-profit board of directors. Dave was recently appointed to the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire Commission and will serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors on fire and rescue matters.
