Randy Pearson

Randy Pearson is an experienced professional in state policy and politics with more than a decade of work in and around the Virginia General Assembly. He began his career in Virginia politics in a legislative office, later working in the field for a national 501(c)(3) organization and as a legislative assistant for a member of the House of Delegates who served on key budget and education subcommittees.

Before graduating from college, Randy interned at the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia and worked on local campaigns in Albemarle County. He went on to serve as a legislative assistant and political director for a statewide campaign, gaining experience in both policy and electoral strategy.

For more than three years, Randy advised on and directed policy efforts in the General Assembly, contributing to significant legislative initiatives in areas such as K-12 education, autism insurance coverage for children and infrastructure funding.

Having worked extensively on both the campaign and policy sides of local and state politics in Virginia, Randy offers well-rounded experience in delivering results through the legislative and political processes. He is a passionate advocate in the policy arena and enjoys helping others navigate the complexities of the General Assembly.

Randy earned a bachelor’s degree in politics with a minor in history from the University of Virginia and is a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership’s Political Leaders Program, Class of 2019. He is an avid supporter of the Wahoos and spends much of his free time cheering on their teams and his beloved baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. Randy and his wife, Caitlyn, live in Richmond with their sons, Bennett and Teddy, and their two dogs, Chipper and Freddie.
